XF 2.1 Upgrading says Alpha?

I downloaded the latest version (never downloaded any previous alphas/betas) but during upgrade it is stating Alpha.
Normal or?

Yes, the upgrade process will run through all Alpha, Beta and RC to final.

To expand on that, the upgrade will always run through every release from the one you currently have installed, to the one you are upgrading to.

Doing it that way requires a single installation package, rather than bespoke packages for each and every combination of from and to.
