Upgrading an outdated license

my license has outdated in November 2013. If I buy a "1 year extension" now, do I still get the actual version?

What is the difference between "1 year extension" and "Installation service?"

You get one year from when you renew it, so yes you will have access to the latest version.

Installation service means the Xenforo team will install the software for you.

The upgrade service is naturally only available for existing licenses, not new licenses.
