XF 2.2 Unread threads on MacOS

Users with MacOS using Chrome browser have recently been complaining unread threads (on threads list) don't seem different from threads that have been read already.

Is this a bug or does it just require a css fix (what?)?

I'm having the same issue (noticed it probably last 4-5 days).

• Tested on multiple computers.
• Tried clearing cookies & browser cache...but issue remains.
• Safari & FireFox seem fine...issue is with Chrome only (so far).

I've done some additional testing. This "New Posts" issue does not seem to be a problem here at Xenforo.com/community (using Chrome)...and macOS.

I also visited this site running Xenforo (https://forums.stevehoffman.tv/) & signed up for an account ...and no issues here (with "New Posts" that have been read...and are properly removed from the "New Posts" list)....using Chrome for macOS. This site appears to be running an older version of Xenforo.

I'm wondering if this issue is related to a specific version/versions of Xenforo?

• I'm assuming Xenforo.com/community is running 2.2.9 or 2.2.10.
• The (https://forums.stevehoffman.tv/) website in the home page footer shows a copyright date of 2010-1019...thus I'm assuming this website is running an older version of Xenforo (maybe Xenforo 2.1.x).
• My site is running Xenforo 2.2.5.
• I also visited my site using a computer running Windows (and using Chrome)...and my site works fine.
• Am using the most up to date version of Chrome on the macOS computer (Version 103.0.5060.134 (Official Build) (x86_64).
• macOS version doesn't seem to be an issue. I've tested on 2 macOS computers. One running macOS 10.13.6...and one running macOS 10.15.7.

The combination of:

• Using Chrome browser.
• Computer running macOS.
• Website running Xenforo 2.2.5 (maybe other versions)

...seems to be causing this issue of New Posts not being removed from the New Posts list after being read.

We are currently running 2.2.7 patch 1
If upgrading will solve the issue- we'll get round to it

Thanks. I see the last update for Xenforo 1 was 2019...which explains why the copyright date is 2010-2019.
