This is crazy, my label UPPM didn't even let me know - dragged some old tracks out the archives and released them on Friday. Please do listen though as I (and my estate) get 0.0007p per stream. Good excuse to test the Spotify embed also.

Funny, I was just listening to Midnight in the Naked City last week.

And on a related note, that is the only release available on Qobuz. Spotify will never get a penny of my money, but at least your releases are on Bandcamp for download. 👍

I remember seeing you were on Jumpin' Jive...that's where I made the connection. That's what I get for following the link to your site a few years ago. 😁 I'll be getting a couple of things via Bandcamp once payday rolls around.

Decades ago I gave up subjecting the world to my sqwauking and sold two of my three horns (one was a Mk. VII tenor), although I did latch onto a flute a few years back, and tried an EWI for a month or so (which was...interesting, but fun). I'm more prone to a keyboard these days. Had to sell the family Baldwin as our place was too small to keep it, but still have a Yamaha MIDI keyboard here (with a suite of Arturia emulators) that scratches the itch.

I'll let my folks know because they're into jazz and folk music.
When i'm over there at my parents place i'll check their cd list.

I think your username might partially give that away. 😁 This afternoon I have a lot of Jean-Luc Ponty albums queued up, and he (and George Duke, who was in rotation yesterday) both performed with Zappa decades ago.

Credits are a lost "art." Most listeners (especially younger ones) who only stream music have no idea what they're listening to. That is one reason why vinyl (and to a lesser extent, CDs) surged in popularity with younger generations--those who cared about a physical product also wanted to know more about what they were listening to.

For me, whether it's jazz or popular, I like to know who is playing on it, especially if it's someone I don't recognize. I miss those albums from the 50s and 60s where the entire back of the album jacket was some sort of essay and a listing of credits (if not mentioned in the text). The innersleeves on some pop/rock records often had individual credits for each song. The CD era was frustrating as many of the credits remained, but the text could be painfully small to read or, in some instance, poor color choices (like pink text on a medium blue background) made them impossible to read.
