XF 2.3 Trending widget on /featured/

In this page /featured/ i put a trending widget in standard mode, but every morning (well I suppose the first connection to the page after midnight) I have to reload the page 2 to 3 times before the content loads (a bit like when you change the settings of trending widgets), it's is quite penalizing because I know what to do to make the content appear but a visitor only sees an empty page... Unless it's just for me, but I doubt it: can you test this page on your side?

Viewing a page with the widget queues an update of the information as it can be expensive to compute.

On subsequent page loads the updated information is available. The underlying data is updated every 15 minutes.

It would only be blank if the old records were pruned before a newer record was computed, which would imply the page had not been viewed in a while.
Thanks for taking the time to check. So now there are 2 choices: either it only happens to me, which would be strange, or the fact of having reloaded the page 3 times earlier triggered the display of the content for everyone . I'll have to wait until after midnight to check this... Unless anyone has a more plausible explanation? @Jeremy P maybe?

I should clarify that this only happens on this page, all other trending widgets display their content correctly. Small detail perhaps: this is the only trendy widget that I have configured to display "Any" content...

Thank you, if I understand your point correctly this behaviour would be normal because of the data queuing, is that it? Is it specific to this page or specific to the widget settings (any content)?

On my homepage this never happens, it's a node-page with trending widget, one for threads, one for resources, one for images.

Oh, i understand now.

So it's simply due to the lack of activity on my forum. If the page was visited a little more often this wouldn't happen. The home page does not suffer from this "problem" because it is probably visited by robots quite often, but this /featured/ page is perhaps more difficult to access... at least 3 clicks upon arriving from the home page.

The results are specific to the widget settings, so one result can power any widget with the same settings.

Results are queued when there is no existing result, or there is one but it’s older than 15 minutes.
