XF 2.1 Thread field choices won't rebuild after importing them

I imported choices for a drop down thread field as a BLOG using SQL. Everything worked except that, when creating the thread, the choices show as "thread_field_choice.choiceIDHere" in the drop down. If I manually change one of the choices in the custom thread fields admin page, it shows up correctly as the text value, but only the one choice that was changed. I figure using Rebuild Thread Fields would make them all show correctly, but it doesn't. How can I get them to all show the correct text value?

I found the cause was because each thread field choice is supposed to have a phrase, so the phrases need to be imported too.
