I’m not sure if the emoji search list was populated by you guys, but this unamused face chappy doesn’t look too happy

You're correct, of course. He doesn't look happy.

But he does look unhappy which is what is being picked up here.

Ahh, that makes sense.

I guess I was expecting results more similar to the smile description as there's quite a few good sads, so I was expecting some analagous happies

Yeah I was just thinking about that. The emoji data actually comes from the EmojiOne metadata which is not something we're going to maintain ourselves (it's absolutely huge and we have a script to import it into code, generate phrases etc as it is). Hopefully there won't be too much like that. In fact, I might just mention it on their GitHub repo so at least they can change it if they want.

Ah, I figured that might be the case. Good shout on suggesting it to their Github though, I imagine others might expect the same result and benefit from a change.
