Theming or Addon to make Media gallery more friendly

We moved from PhotoPost (on vB4) to XFMG 2. We're not overly happy with the arrangement of things. Are there any addons that make it easier to find user albums and generally a saner arrangement?

Similarly, we have a similar problem with the Resource manager.

I am not a developer, but I was curious about the idea of a more user-friendly look and functionality. Care to share a more detailed version of what you are looking for. Again, I just like to see where others' thoughts are at. I love creativity!
