The filesystem “/tmp” mounted at “/tmp” reached “critical” status because you currently use 100%

This problem recently started developing.

The /tmp folder becomes full and it causes xenforo to stop working.

If i delete everything in the /tmp folder and restart apache & mysql. Then xenforo works again. The problem then is every 24 hours the /tmp folder becomes full and i have to delete the /tmp folder again.

I can also restart the server without deleting the /tmp folder and xenforo starts working again and the #sql-temptable files in the screenshot below are gone. They seem to have deleted themselves

This has never happened in the past. It's a recent problem.

I know it's xenforo causing this problem.

How can i troubleshoot & fix this problem?

You should contact your host about that.

AFAIK it's not normal such large temporary SQL tables are stored in the temp folder.

I'm no sql guru but it looks like there is an issue with your sql db so it cannot store data the normal way and that's why data is stored temporarily in the temp folder.
