Just a quick note on this... I know it's unsupported because the official importer handles smilies now, but for those of us who can't/don't/won't use the official importer, it's pretty handy. I'm using the big board importer because of the size of my forum and this was a LOT easier than manually creating a hundred smilies.

Out of interest, why can't/don't/won't you use the official importer?

Time. If I use the official importer, I'll have to leave my board down for many hours while the import happens (200k threads, 3m posts, 80k members). I think my initial estimate was something like 10 hours or longer.

The big board importer gets it done in about an hour.

FYI this does not respect the Premium brand free option.

When I attempt to import smilies I get this error: The controller XenForo_ControllerAdmin_Smilie does not define an action called ImportXml
Is there a fix?
xml was created with Code Monkey's conversion script. Xenforo version is 1.5.14
