I just purchased this add-on and "styles/themehouse/giphy/giphy.png" isn't installed with the add-on. Could this be corrected?

I've uploaded a fixed package that adds the image back. You can download it from your customer area.

No, the gif is embedded using the giphy media BBCode which is in XenForo by default. The only part this add-on adds is the selection process to search and choose one without leaving XenForo

Should the giphy be inserted as a preview image or text?
I've installed this but only getting bbcode text. Have to submit the post to see the giphy gif. Am I missing a setting?

No. It's using the default XenForo media embed bb code which does not support rich text preview.

I have selected to insert using IMG mode. Would it be possible to consider adding the rich text preview when using that mode.

I'm eager to test out the newest update and get it released to all of y'all. But first, we've gotta wait on XenForo 2.2 to be officially released

No migration needed, when you uninstall this, the GIFs stay.

and the XF 2.2 version uses direct image links?

For anyone looking to upgrade to XenForo 2.2, this add-ons functionality has been fully integrated into the core. You won't require an importer or updater, you can simply uninstall the add-on at any point before or after your upgrade without any impact. For the smoothest transition, we recommend to uninstall or disable it before upgrading to XenForo 2.2.
