[TH] Article Manager [Deleted]

I'm trying to promote a thread to article, but nothing happens. After selecting an article category, the thread page reloads and nothing else happens. No errors.. and if I go to the article category, nothing is there.

Has anyone ran into any issues?

Thanks!

You can try it at my forum.

http://xensupport.info/index.php?articles/

Log in with username and password demo and promote any thread to article. It works as intended.

Would you mind giving me access to your forum so I could look into this?

I figured it must be something on my end.. I've sent you the info via conversation!

Thanks!

I could not get topics to be promoted to articles either at your forum. Can you please disable next all the other add ons and try again to promote topics to articles? That is only to rule out the other add ons as interfering with the topic promotion.

Normally I'd post on your site, but when I try to spam clean a post, I'm getting a server error:

Code:
PHP <br />
<b>Fatal error</b>:  Call to undefined method Faqe_Articles_Model_Articles::displayAllActiveArticles() in <b>/home/******/public_html/library/Faqe/Articles/SpamHandler/Articles.php</b> on line <b>24</b><br />

When I disable the Article Manager it lets me spam clean. Running 2.0.7

The bug is fixed. I have emailed you the new version.

I cant wait for something like this to come out (before I buy) but that has the option to show (on individual articles) eBay items. For example, I write about "U.S. Coins/ Morgan dollars" after the article, before submitting it, I can paste 3 ebay ID category numbers and a chart with 4 columns, 3 rows show the "ending soonest, highest bid or buy it now" items in that article. Of course, the items have to be "roverized" or "affiliated with ebay" for ebay partners so we make commissions. Which means this would have to have a section to enter our affiliate ID in ACP.

If that ever happens, I'll pay for it.

Hello. I think that this is out of the scope for this addon. And as such, it would probably require it's own addon.

I am LOVING this addon..... I had and paid for the Xenblogs but it had an issue where visitors could not see the attachments/pictures and I never got to fix it. With this addon, it's all good. A couple of issues here and there but Wang helped me.

Instead of bothering him in private for this issue though, I'll post it here to help others who might run thru this.
In the permissions, I allowed unregistered users to "rate" an article, however, I am getting this error (shown below) How do I fix this @wang

That would be because there is no username fields for guests to enter when they rate an article, or comment on it. But this is something that I will make a note for the future release, to allow guests to rate articles. There is no eta for it though.

You know what I'd really like to see on the next update @wang ? A way to add an image to either side of a article and a way to add 2-3 pictures side by side as shown on the attached images below.

If there already is a way to do this, either with a table or whatever, I guess I have not heard of it yet.

You can set the attachments side by side. The code for the attachments must be next to each other when they are uploaded and not below each other.

You can also align the attachments with the Alignement bb code.

It's not the same Wang. An attachment is not useful if you want to show a sized imaged on the right side (for example) of text. Below text yes, side by side but it's not full sized either.

I will keep this in mind, but for the time being, the new releases will contain bug gixes and minor new features only. I am holding back on making a lot of changes until xenforo 2 has been released.

Another request I'd like to see is if when a new article is posted, that on the menu tab, it highlights a number next to the tab to let members know a new post has been submitted.

Can you please post a screenshot of this?

If you look at my "chat" tab, it shows a number 1. If a person wrote an article or 3, then it would show a member the new articles posted in my "Blog" tab.

Thank you. I see what you mean now. But the new articles counter will show only on the articles tab, and not tabs added by other add ons btw.

Anyways, the suggestion has been noted for the next versions that will be for xenforo 2.

Well actually, my "Blog" tab is the Article addon, I just changed the name from admin section. It is not another addon/tab, it's your addon I bought. Either way, thank you for taking my requests into consideration.
