Closed Templater function max_length does not support Forum/Thread Types

Templater function max_length currently only supports entities - it would be useful if we could also simply call smth. like max_length($thread.getTypeHandler(), 'field') instead using of more complex code.

Thank you for reporting this issue. The max_length() template function is built to work with entities (or entity names) only. Forum and thread type handlers are a different kind of object, with their settings validated separately. Supporting them would be a new feature rather than a bug fix, so it would be better posted as a suggestion.
