XF 2.2 Subs issues after price rise using PayPal

I put the subs up, I changed the amount of the upgrade to reflect the new price. In Paypal I adjusted the amount of the pre-approved payment to the new price

Paypal collects the new amount but the subs are not applied in XF and I am getting Invalid cost amount errors.

For recurring subscriptions, the original price will continue to be applied each year, even if the upgrade cost is increased in XF.

I suspect this is the issue - I didn't do that after raising the prices in XF and don't get any errors.

So how do you raise prices for existing subscribers who use PP pre approved payments?

You can't, you'd have to vote for this suggestion:

The PayPal integration XenForo uses is the old school "Website Payments" system that PayPal supports via creating a form and submitting it to PayPal. It works, but PayPal has an exponentially better API now that let you do a LOT more than just blindly take payments...

Thanks I’ll vote for it. That’s if I have any time as it looks like I’ve got to cancel a few thousand pre approved payments. How dumb is that.
