I'm getting an error message; it seems this add-on isn't compatible.

The method is protected, it is a bug in that add-on not mine.

If you look at the error message, that other add-on is mentioned and not mine. If there was a bug with my add-on, it would have been mentioned in the error message as the one causing the issue, but instead it isn't.
And now? Shall we play ping pong?
If I could, I would repair it myself.

This will let you find the file which has extended this to be a public method when it should be protected;
Code:
grep -R setupThreadCreate src/addons | grep -i public

Once you do that you can report it to the correct author and/or patch it to be protected again.
