Sportsbook & Betting Exchange - Virtual Wagering & Betting System. Event Outcome Wagering OR Member vs Member Bets

Sportsbook allows your users to place wagers on outcomes of events with virtual cash/points/credits (either with built in Sportsbook cash or via 3rd party cash systems). There is also a Betting Exchange that allows members to place one on one bets against each other.

Key Features
  • Betting Exchange (Member vs Member bets)
  • Categories with Full Category Permissions
  • Multi Odds types (Moneyline, Decimal, Fractional)...

"Virtual Cash System - Has its own built in virtual cash system as well as the ability to use external credit/point/cash systems."

Does this mean it works with DBTech Credits/Shop or are you specifically referring to the actual payment systems such as Paypal here?

Yes, quite a few people configure Sportsbook to use DBTech Credits.

or are you specifically referring to the actual payment systems such as Paypal here?
Definitely no as PayPal has strict TOS against gambling. There are no payment processors of any kind in this addon, its purely for entertainment purposes.

I am setting it up and I have Category as National Hockey League.
Would each team be event field? What is event prompt?

Are there docs for setting up events?

Event Fields are Custom Fields for Events (just like Resource Fields are Custom Fields for Resources, Media Fields are Custom Fields for Media Items etc). They are used for customization purposes. If you are just starting out, you don't need to worry about them.

In your use case, an Event would be an NHL Game, eg "Penguins at Capitals" and then you'd add "Outcomes", which are what members place bets on, eg "Penguins score first", "Capitals score first", "Penguins win", "Capitals win", "Draw" etc etc etc... You can add as many outcomes as you want to. Hit me up private and I can walk you through the process in more detail :)

I think I was overcomplicating it lol. I went ahead and created an event for Dodgers vs Angels as a test and it went smooth. Can't wait for hockey season! Who will score first is a great one too. Thanks for getting me going on this!

Everything is working fine except that I can't bet. Others are betting but I don't see the option. On some bets I can bet, and lately on hardly any. I checked all the permissions and all are set to yes for admin.

You already posted this at my support site, and I already responded. This thread is for pre-sales questions only. I do not provide support for PAID addons here.

lol trust me it was $35 on here yesterday. So Bob obviously changed it after my post. Not a big deal i just wanted to be clear on the price ;) And as for my thoughts behind the post... I don't think I'm ready to be psychoanalyzed by an amateur, sorry.
