Spammers getting harder to spot thanks to AI?

The reply sort of makes sense, and at a glance may sound like it's making a contributiion, but has all the attributes of being an AI discussion response.

I googled the username and they're doing the same thing on other sites.

Spam is going to get so much worse with crap like this going on.
 
I check for links. pH looks like a link, is it from you, or from them?

EDIT: I checked, pH is a link, but probably from the site...

And they can try to mask links in posts... Which leads me to idea that would show number of links in posts, no matter how they look like. And probably visible only to mods.
 
I find that while AI created content is generally rather good these days, sometimes better than that of genuine members, the context is almost always slightly off in some way which gives it away.

I do agree though, it is getting harder to spot.
