SoundCloud BBcode Media Site [Deleted]

A nice little add-on.

For some very strange reason though, it won't auto embed on my live site, even though the URL is being parsed into a media tag.

This is how it looks in a post: http://soundcloud.com/djbis/metallica-enter-sandman-dj-bis-hybrid-edit-dirty-funker-remixes

This is how it actually is when editing the post: [media=soundcloud]soundcloud.com/djbis/metallica-enter-sandman-dj-bis-hybrid-edit-dirty-funker-remixes[/media]

It works fine on my local so it must be something to do with my live site, but the local is an exact copy of it.

Ever get this sorted out, I'm having the same issue.

Looking at this now, it looks like when Soundcloud updated their look and design they got rid of the meta tags this was scraping / parsing.


I believe, from looking at it you can sign up for the the developer API (http://api.soundcloud.com/) and then should be able to get the information that way. I'm gonna play with it now, but yeah, this plugin is basically worthless now. Hah.
 
If I install this, will it override my old soundcloud in the mediasites package? I don't want to update mediasites until ebay and amazon are fixed.

If you have the mediasites package installed you can just upload the Soundcloud.php file from the zip as that is the only thing that has changed with this bbcode and you can skip installing the Soundcloud bbcode addon itself.

What folder do I put it in?
 
If you are uploading the single file you would upload it to:

../library/MediaSites/

... this is where all callback files for bbcodes in the pack including this one go.
 
Weird, I put it in the mediasites folder, but there wasn't an old one to overwrite... did your old add on store them somewhere else?
