SOPA & PIPA -- Passed (CISPA)

So why reply to them? This is a serious topic that will be discussed throughout the internet so long as governmental entities choose to try and kill off the internet, either intentionally or "unintentionally".
Exactly, government is the enemy of liberty and prosperity... the more government does the less of either we have. -Thomas Paine said it best “Government even in its best state is but a necessary evil; in its worst state an intolerable one.”

Not everybody in this thread is dramatic about it.
Not everyone in this thread has common sence and knows better not to support this. Or has the common sence the actually care about their freedom and civil liberties either. By care, I mean the willingness to actually speak out against, bring awareness, and an attempt to do something about it.

You don't have to be dramatic to care about things happening around you or to have common sense.

Dramatic? You keep using that word.

dra·mat·ic /drəˈmatik/
Adjective:
Of or relating to drama or the performance or study of drama.

I'd call this proposed "law" in its self to fit the very definition. If my description of it is dramatic, it is only because so is the reality of it. An equal response of actuality is not intentionally dramatizing.

If find your "ease and acceptance" of this situation to be the more concerning issue and as stated by another member here... "The reason why such stupid matters go unnoticed and become policy"

Never said I didn't know about this, known about it since it started.

So you supported this ever since it started? Or am misunderstanding you, cause if I am understanding you correctly................... .........I'd question your morals. ethics, logic, reasoning, judgement, and anything else you'd say further.

Don't think I posted a sentence saying I supported it, when I found out about it I joined the petition sites against it, which I've already stated once in this thread, also you can question anything you want, doesn't bother me one bit.

You also posted saying, you don't care that it was passed and also thumbs up the idea in your 1st post.

So where do you stand on this issue?

No I posted saying I don't really care about threads for every single one of these anymore, and the thumbs up was sarcasm, guess I should of added a sarcasm tag, my bad totally forgot sarcasm doesn't transmit over the internet.

I am really getting tired of the US Govt wanting to stamp their authority on the internet. I am not an american, and americans are not the only people who use the internet. But the US govt has powers to close any site. With CISPA they now have powers to read my private communications too... and I don't like it. Yes they are big and powerful but let them stamp their power on their own citizens and leave the rest of the world alone... at least on the internet!

And the guy who says Obama is going to veto it, that is such a naive comment. What they do is give people the impression that Obama is the knight in shining armour... and then they will make some cosmetic amendments and then Obama will pass it when there is some festival or the like...

Just another example of liberties and freedom in general being destroyed in the 'land of the free'. They will not stop until they have complete power. Fascism has come to America (and Europe too BTW). My recommendation: do not vote either republican or democrat. Keep your conscience clean.

why are you even arguing with me..lol
but for the sake of arguing, they are not worse IMO

I was replying to the OP's post..
Because you're stating that they're not worse than PIPA/SOPA, when they have clauses that are more open for abuse, and would allow corporate and government agencies to use them without checks.

That is what makes it worse.
