So I got bored and decided to test how dirty going from 1.0.0 to 1.4.1 might have been.

    This is just a preliminary result:

    Don't mind the OS. I am early for work so I used our procon server via remote desktop to start this endevour.

    To clarify this is every single version extracted in between.

    I have no clue if the install process cleans up any of the excess files. First order of business is analyzing what has been left behind. I may actually install all the versions if I end up waiting in the hospital again or something. I would out of the box expect things like the old editor to be part of the left over files etc.

    Upgrading will not delete any files from the server.

    Yeah looks like of course js\tinymce makes up the majority of the left overs. Old cache rebuild files, Identity services, various versions of jquery.

    A more realistic compare for the site I work on I did a short, lazy and slightly inaccurate 1.20 > 1.2.7 > 1.3.0 > 1.3.6 > 1.4.1. Not much left behind:
