XF 1.5 Single Navlink Colour

I have added a link to the navbar with this code in the Navigation template:
<li class="navTab PopupClosed"><a href="www.google.com" class="navLink">Google Search</a></li>
The problem I have is how to change the text colour to red? I have spent hours searching for the answer so hopefully someone will be able to advise me.
