Showcasing the Legacy Forum / New Age Social Media Hybrid

Are you describing the need for the ability to SEND specific threads into the Social Feed? So a button in the (what I call) Legacy Forum area to add it into the Social Feed without actually having all the forum's topics included...?
yes, we'll use the designated sub-forums for keeping the social feed rolling but there will be times when the other sub-forum content may be worth adding to the feed so it would be a nice to be able to do that.

What I see this being useful for is the publishing of different types of content in support of our non-profit. We can publish different content types to specific sub-forums, let the social feed scroll that content on the homepage and encourage our member/subscribers to engage us and each other in the more general purpose sub-forums. When those sub-forums achieve something worth sharing, we just click a box and it gets added to the social feed.

Maybe this isn't what you originally had in mind but I am really liking the thought of this as the format for our new website. It's content oriented instead of being driven by graphics which I don't have time or design skills to generate!

If you wanted multiple reply options then have both.

It feels really empty to post something and it not even show up.
Certainly discourages people from coming back. I'd even allow them to get replies (if that is possible).

If you give them a great answer and point them to content on your forum .... it would surely encourage them to sign up.
The bug where people posting as unregistered users not receiving any input relating to their message - has been fixed.

To note, naturally, unregistered guests don't just have their post go live upon submission. They are notified that their message needs to be approved by a moderator...
