Yorick has a resource out that removes this for certain user groups: http://xenforo.com/community/resources/user-group-based-dofollow-urls.803/ Check out the nofollow tag: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nofollow Basically it tells search engines that the link should not be recognized as a backlink to the target.
