Should I renew?

I don't mean to be a jerk but should I renew before 2.4 or 3.0 comes out? I hope to god your software never becomes 500 dollars. I know it's good but I have other obligations to deal with. I don't make money from it.

I renewed a couple of months ago. But then, I'm an eternal optimist! Given the delay and lack of communication, I'll give it a 50/50 shot of ever happening. Like I said, I'm an optimist.

Even if a newer version comes out, you still won't pay full price for it because you already have a license. Renewal is only $60 USD right now for just XF and no addons with it being $15 per XF addon.

Especially if you're on a budget, I'd always recommend waiting until you need to upgrade to purchase a renewal. Even if the price does go up slightly, which doesn't happen often, you're still, likely, saving money in the long run and extending the number of upgrades possible with your renewal.

I only upgraded one forum as I needed to get new style and rebrand. Have 2 more to renew but I’ll wait.

I would probably say to wait. Gives you more leverage.

Wait until something worthwhile gets released if on budget. Renew now if you want to spend money whilst waiting.

I am in the same situation. No profit. But I try to upgrade and support there fore support the software hoping for a spark in updates and wanting the software to prosper.
