XF 1.4 Settings Confusion

In the setting attached, I am unsure what should be in the field.

My forum is not in the directory called /forums.

Should I have the directory that the forum is in in the field?

You don't need to change that.

That determines which page is loaded when visitors access your site.

To see how it works, temporarily change it to members/ then access your site again.
