Setting up as superadmin - ? tick boxes

So on all three forums. while set up as admin I ticked everything. Except in this first box it gives you the option to select all and I have everything selected except unregistered. So should I tick unregistered as well? And what difference does it make? I assumed if they're unregistered, they can't be managed!

Admin settings..webp

Ideally you want Registered as a base permission. Administrator should have additional permissions on top of Registered. What you want to have EXTRA compared to Registered.

To setup your admin as super admin, you need to tick the box Show advanced CP options.

Yes that is ticked. There is the option to select all - but why would admin want to be part of an unregistered user group? The second three on the left are forum specific. So yes registered and moderating are ticked and super moderator (this is for my own admin account) - I'm just wondering whether unregistered should be ticked - does it mean so you can manage unregistered users? Because you don't want to be putting yourself in an unregistered group presumably?

Unregistered should never be ticked.

That box does not mean you can manage those groups, you'll be adding the super admin to those groups you select.

Thanks. That's what I thought. So why is it there?!! :-) I mean why is the unregistered box there? Why would an admin want to add themselves to the unregistered group?
