SEO (SEO2) [Deleted]

This addon doesn't work with @Xon Multi Prefix :( After install xenMade SEO2 my forum is dead, I have Error 500 and a lot of errors in php logs:

I really like this add-on :)

You should know it's important to set bigger thumbnails (because by default, guests see thumbnails, not full pictures), you can write about this somewhere in description (with small thumbs I had errors in OG Debugger and images didn't work):
Minimum Image Size
The minimum image size is 200 x 200 pixels. If you try to use an image smaller than this you will see an error in the Sharing Debugger.

Add an option to automatically add :OG:Images from the images posted(bb code embed) on the specific thread if the user has not uploaded or direct linked the :OG:Image of the thread.

1. Huge copyright risk, someone links copyright image and you auto host it on your server. You eat all the DMCA coz, you host it. You will get banned from the provider or legal issues. You can not control what others post on your forum. 90% of the time its copyright content of others.

2. Anyone can DDOS and take down your server easily, they only need to post an external image link to get your server IP.

3. When you have a large forum you cannot convert all images, it will take a huge amount of space and server load.

Very bad idea unless you are facebook, google or something. then you have a huge lawyer team and million dollar DDOS mitigation system

it depends, currently 50GB is enough for me. I use CloudFlare, so I don't have problem with DDOS and images are cached by CF.
In my forum I have about 30 000 images, all converted via Convert Image All without major problems ;)

I have been using it for a long time, used Image Convert on xF1 and have not had any problems with it. I don't think that anyone in Poland could have a problem for attaching an image :D

1. Cloudflare cannot protect you after you leak your IP. That's why you should not leak your IP by pulling external images.
I think you do not understand how Cloudflare works.

2. Maybe Poland laws are different but it totally depends on where your host your server. You living in Poland not gonna help.
All US hosts accept DMCA, Most of the large hosts in Europe also honor DMCA. So you are liable most of the time.

Can post a unique image and get the IP, even free services are there to grab the IP. Only takes 5 seconds
Having separate IP connected to the same server will give the same DDOS as the real IP. The only solution has to do advanced scripting and spend a lot of money to run pulling system on a separate server.
Not only stock photos are copyrighted. Tons more. Adsense not gonna ban you for random copyright claims.
Anyway, i don't want to keep on arguing with your lack of technical knowledge and the inexperience about the subject bro.

Well the weekly average is still the same.

I dont think the plugin did a lot of difference. But it did improve other details though.

For example, when i share now to facebook/twitter/whatsapp/slack ... The link comes with its own title, snippet and image among other things.

I will always update it and hopefully get better results with the next release.

First and foremost, the add-on is about using crawl budget sensibly. Ergo to remove unnecessary pages from the index.
In order to improve the quality of the pages in the index, which has a positive effect on the "Quality score" throughout the domain.

The other side is that e.g. social networks are better served by better og:images.

This Add-On is not witchcraft or makes miracles.
It's just supposed to automate smaller things.

He stated that he will post about it, thats why i asked him.

I wanted to understand that, the seo part should not screw the forum (I dont understand much in it, so once screwed it will really gonna make big mess)

People use or buy addon to make miracles. it may not be a miracle in your thoughts.

but the real buyer of addon always look at it as a miracle thing.

for me its a miracle, if its not then i will look for other addons which i think can make miracles.

Your addon is also a miracle in my opinion but i am too much cautious about seo thing.

You can find many threads made by me blaming xenforo for bad seo thing, at the start when i bought and used it for a month. later i understood xenforo have best SEO which i see in results. (I bought a domain name which had bad history due to which it took time to rank up)
