I've used SES for 15+ years, maybe longer, and I haven't experienced any issues. I have Amazon Business email, SES, S3 and probably some others I don't remember that I'm using. If I had issues with their services, I would have stopped using them. I do agree they can be tedious to wrap your head around initially, get setup correctly, etc, but reading their docs will get you through, and easier nowadays, just get walked through with AI.
