Selling forum software to new customers 101

    When you lose your existing customer base, a logical sales and marketing tactic would be targeting new customers who have never purchased forum software before.

    Anybody can make a google ad pointing to cj.com affiliate link, as if it goes to vbulletin.com

    I am 'just saying' that just because the ad says it's vBulletin .. doesn't mean it is from Internet Brands Inc or vBulletin Solutions ..

    I don't click on ads. Haven't since 1992.

    Floris, it is vBulletin !!

    Google requires the URL to be in the ad !!!

    I guess that's updated then. I've reported various of those ads to Jelsoft where it pretended to be vBulletin.com but the link is just an affiliate. Hence the skepticism.

    Anyway, that's off-topic regardless.

    Jelsoft never advertised as far as I remember. They did it by reputation and word of mouth. And the strength was the active customer base. I can imagine IB might require to review that approach.
