One of the biggest grifts ever. Trump calls for it to be banned in 2020 which is what lead to TikTok actually being banned and now gets to take "credit" for it coming back for now lmao.

Almost like a deal, negotiation, or compromise was made. #politics

TikTok’s parent company has already been discovered to be spying on American journalists. It’s been years now of this being known
Once spying is known about, ie no longer a covert operation, is it still spying?

spy
/spʌɪ/

verb
gerund or present participle: spying
  1. 1.
work for a government or other organization by secretly obtaining information about enemies or competitors.

In the future people won't earn money, everyone will have their own cryptocoin. In lieu of salary, your company will buy some of your crypto and that will help you buy things like food and pay your rent.

I think presidents shouldn't be allowed their own cryptocoins. First ladies as well.

Please react to this post as it boosts my DigitalDoctor crypto and I can pay with more xenforo licenses with it. Thank you.
Angry or Sad reactions lower my social credit so please don't do that.

What does this have to do with either of my 2 posts that you have quoted so far? I don't think I've ever said the app wasn't spying on people, most if not all social media apps are.

Must have misunderstood when you posted “almost like no such thing”, seemed like you were alluding to no such reasoning to ban it in the first place.

My theory is there will be a new revised version of TikTok that is engineered without Chinese spyware/some sort of deal was made to buy out the name. Hence why this ruling is delayed.

Technically no - but then again China/CCP have been very transparent with how much “spying” they do in the US. Heck they had a sleeper cell office literally downtown NYC for years.

TT is officially closed in US. Good for society, children, and raises our collective IQ a bit IMHO.

But very odd and concerning that Congress did this and I’m not sure their reason was true. I mean US congress isn’t exactly filled with outstanding citizens so God only knows the truth.

I suspect Trump will bring it back somehow. 🤷‍♀️
The reasons given by the United States are absurd and unrealistic for us (the Chinese people). In order to keep TikTok in the United States, TikTok migrated its servers to Oracle. In the end, however, it was banned because it used China's ByteDance algorithm.

(I don't speak English, so I used a translator. I'm sorry if you can't understand what I mean.

You can’t expect the American people to trust the Chinese Communist Party after the last 10 year track record.

If you came home, sat on your couch, and as you watched TV, you noticed a dude dressed like James Bond was sitting by your side table with a microphone pointed at you and every 5 minutes he says "Yeah, the subject is still at home," into a radio, I think you'd probably try to get him to stop doing that and leave. Because getting spied on sucks, especially when the one doing it is China, which is actively trying to take over the world, which it has no business doing given its absolutely chilling history on human rights.

Why should we treat TikTok, which has been outed and long-proven to be spying on US Journalists and persons of interest, different than a creepy spy hanging out in our house? Have some pride! Looking at attractive women doing pathetic excuses for dancing (which seems to be its primary content) is not a reason to betray your country. Republicans and Democrats, who barely agree on anything, jointly voted for this bill because it's a clear and present danger to the United States and our way of life. We should uphold the ban.

Replace China with USA. Would you not have the same concerns?

Tiktok refugee videos made by Americans was good to watch during the ban. Looks like they learnt a lot rather than what the media shows China and other countries as. The realisation that how poor their living standards are compared to other countries was interesting.

Part of my in laws are from the Phillippines.
They dance a lot. Use tiktok a lot.
Dancing is part of their cultural background.
So yes your logic is flawed.
That being said, i've seen some really disgusting videos pop up on there that constitutes the app being banned.
Keep your stuff for youtube. But don't show your bits on there. Just like people did on tiktok.

I think you miss the point. It is not the dancing that is the problem, it is that TikTok is a weapon of the Chinese government. Are your in-laws okay with the Chinese government spying on them? There is a lot of tension between China and the people of the Philippines. It seems like every day there is some new attack on their fishermen or military by the Chinese Coast Guard.

The Chinese like to play games in the East China Sea. If it weren't for Americans being present in the region, this Philippine Sailor would've lost more than just a thumb.
