Secondary groups user list and permissions

Today by coincidence I see a user that has as secondary groups, administrative, super moderator and moderator.

Going to admins, hes not in the list.
Going to super moderators, he is not in the list.
Going to moderators, he is not in the list.

So I have 3 questions.

1- how is it possible that he get those secondary groups ?
2- what are the permissions he gets for that secondary groups ?
3- how can I see all users like that ?

Administrative group and not appearing in admins list ? Thats scary.

Any advice ?

You don't have to be an administrator nor moderator to be in either user group.

Adding a user to the Moderating user group does not make them a moderator, it only accords the user title and permissions associated with that user group.

Thanks Brogan, can you please help with this 3 questions ?

1- how is it possible that he get those secondary groups ? (I did not assign them)
2- what are the permissions he gets for that secondary groups ? (He is magically an admin with no powers at all ?)
3- how can I see all users like that ? (I want to see all the users that are like that, where and how ?)

1. It could be due to an import from previous software, an automatic promotion or manually applied.
2. The permissions which are set in the user group.
3. Do a search in the ACP and select the secondary user group as required - admin.php?users/search
