XF 2.1 Search within thread?

I have Xenforo 2.0 on the board I manage and noticed that AVS forum migrated to Xenforo 2.1 or 2.2, not sure.
I frequently used the "search within thread" feature that AVS's old forum software had.
I can't seem to find it in their new Xenforo build.
So I checked the one I manage and noticed I don't have it either.

Do I just need more coffee (it's early AM right now) or is this feature somehow missing from all Xenforo installs?

Ahh, maybe it's just Verticalscope screwing things up.
They seem to own both of the two forums I do research on.
Both just upgraded to Xenforo and both absolutely suck.
Verticalscope has no idea how to create a board.

I'm not saying Xenforo sucks.
Aside from somehow managing to miss the thread search function on the board I manage, I am extremely happy with what I was able to do with it and it looks like its own forum.
Not a bland copy of a thousand other forums.

Verticalscope changed the search function for some reason. But you can search in thread but the option is not there asi should be until you enter some search term.

Not very intuitive.

Not at all intuitive, no.
I'm sorry to whomever runs things for Verticalscope but all of your boards kind of suck.
And not just because of the stupid search setup.
