XF 2.0 Search for users VS Sending Messages doesnt show up correct results

If you go to search for users, and lets say you want to find all the UK members you would type in co.uk - a list will show up.

If you go to Communication - email / alert / message and you type in co.uk it wont pull up ANY results.

Why is this? Why cant it search for all the users like your user search for users?
