Maybe address it to the add-on author instead of thinking it's an XF dependency to push it higher?

I can not ask anybody for push search results higher. Funny idea!
I would like to understand why this happens and how I can search better.
1. If I know why the search has problems, i can choose better titles, maybe.
2. If I know how to search faster, i win one or more minutes every day.

If they phrase their add-on better in a title, it should place higher. Usually anytime you start using characters other than alphabetic it can impact the search process, especially with the very basic XF ES search add-on. To really get good search results you have to extend it using 3rd party add-ons. It is an issue that XF has with its core script and 1st party add-ons. They do the bare minimum and leave it to others to extend it to fuller functionality. That's shown by what they've presented in their HYS lately. Good ideas... but only partially done.
