Search bar/ text input color change?

Where is the location of the style properties for the searchbar?

Mine kind of seems transparent and bugs me a lot. When clicked on it reverts to yellow but default display is the same as background.

That looks to be from an add-on so it is likely there are no Style Properties for it.
You can use EXTRA.css to style it.

@Brogan , where are the styling properties for the search bar? I mean the white container on the default style... can't find it anywhere in the style properties..

Not everything is in SPs.
For things which aren't, edit the CSS templates directly or use EXTRA.css.
