Add-on Saving editors' and moderators' comments when deleting a post

I want, when a moderator deletes a post and sends a personalized notification to the user about the deletion, that the notification be saved.
That way I can follow the moderators and see how they express themselves and manage users. I don't understand how this isn't done today...

Aren’t the comments in the moderator logs? If not they ought to be IMO.
I checked and it doesn't appear there.
The question is whether this is a problem with my settings, or if there really is no place in the system where it is saved.
I would be happy if someone could check...

Just checked, same here. The reason for deletion is in the log, but not the comment to the user.

EDIT: nor is it anywhere in the database apart from user_alert.

That's odd. So if a member complained their thread was moved and the moderator was rude there is no record?

I believe I've seen the "Reason" before in logs. Are you looking at actions with reasons?

It would be in their alerts, and an admin copuld check that in the dtabase (see above) but I imagine it may be difficult to find if the user has a lot of alerts

Yes the reason is there, but that isn't what the user gets to see, it is a separate field to notify the user and is not in the log

Hmm yeah there are two "Reason" fields when deleting. Never noticed it was not logged.
It's a very good system because it's idea to have one field for admin/mods and the other for the user.

But I do think would be better if both were logged.

However if a mod is rude, the user can complain and will have the proff in their own alerts, just that as per the OP here, not easy for an admin to keep tabs on what mods are saying.

Seems like the extra field could be added to logs and perhaps a filter could show only actions with comments sent otherwise they would be hard to find.
