RM 1.2 Sandbox mode for upload?

How can I set the newly installed resource manager up so the members don't see it (tab and content) while we upload and transfer information from the resources category in the forum into resource manager?

We want to keep the resource manager area for now only for admins and then officially launch it next month.

Set the usergroup permissions in a way that they get no access to resource manager.
And just give the admins group the right to see it.

That still shows them the resource tab? Is there a way of avoiding this?

When you set the permissions in a way that they don't see it, they won't see anything related to Resource Manager at all.
Each permission says for what it is.
