As designed Resource threads waiting for approval are postfixed [DELETED]

Yes.

This would generally be expected then. If the resource is not visible, then the thread will get the "deleted" tag (if you specify that approach). When the resource is approved/made visible, that will be removed if needed.

Yes it is, the tag is removed once the discussion is approved. So there is nothing disturbing for the users.
It seemed to me to be a bug since nothing suggests at this time that this discussion is deleted.
