I have paid for custom addons from ******* about 2 - 3 times and he has been great for the price. Couldn't have transferred certain vbulletin forum features to xenforo without him. I was aware of the installation hooks and callbacks. I never once got the sense of anything malicious. For the price of the licenses,
@******* would be a fool to lose all those happy customers to something so silly.
I, for one, will continue using these ******* add ons as they do EXACTLY what I needed.
Right now I am guessing the biggest barrier between
@XenForo & Briv is English. ******* needs to become 100% transparent to regain peoples trust; hire someone who can relay English messages properly and give the brand the proper front it deserves.!
Hopefully he gets another chance and we can see a proper partnership again.
Regardless of all the shady website activity, I think he got caught with his pants down on whatever content he stole.. Maybe he was in the process of grabbing a new license.. I know I waited a while to buy the branding free license even though I removed it before paying it.. He was probably looking to increase traffic / earnings and bought a website he shouldn't have.
Sometimes pirate / nulled related websites can be an indirect source of promotion. People get a taste of xenforo or add ons and decide to buy it. Usually the people who have the money are going to whip out the money if they value something enough. ******* was VERY dumb in getting involved at all when he had something SO lucrative and useful to hundreds / thousands of potential buyers.
