XF 1.5 Reply/Quote customization

Hello!

I would like to insert a 'direct reply' option on each posts, which will quote the author + the arrow link to post, but not any of the contents within the post... this would be a quick way to follow mega-threads without giant walls of quoted text.

Not sure if this can be done with a simple edit somewhere? All attempts I've tried to make an empty quote, just show up as a blank message.

Just a thought but have you considered editing this style property?



Setting the max height to something much smaller would mean that the quote box doesn't take up much space in a post but it still contains the quoted text for members to see if they click on the Expand option in the quote box rather than having to go back to the original post (which could be on a different page). To me, that would give the best of both worlds.
