XF 2.1 Removing User Bars

I have a whole load of user bars on my forums, now I have 2 questions, is it possible to either remove said user bars OR merge all separate users with different user groups into 1 User group?

For Example, User 1 is in usergroup a,b,c,d, and e (mostly for the same thing tbh, donations)

Can I merge User 1 which is in usergroup a,b,c,d, and e into a NEW Usergroup VIP ?

If you mean user banners then disable banner stacking in Options -> User options -> User banners
