I'm unsure how Nikon (and other manufacturers of DSLR cameras) handles this, but the EXIF on most (if not all) Canon's cameras set the Camera maker to "Canon" and the Camera model to "Canon [Model]".
Before uploading, I remove "Canon" from the model so that it's not duplicate or repetitious, but I sometimes forget. It would be nice if the Camera maker was an exact match of the Camera model's first word (i.e. "Canon") to automatically ignore the Maker or first word of the Model...
Turning this (as seen in XFMG's Image Metadata widget):
Into this automatically (without editing the properties of the EXIF data):
...or a tutorial on how to edit the EXIF from the file created by XF to remove it after the fact without deleting it (don't know if it's within the file or a database entry).
Thanks. Appreciate it.
