XF 2.3 reject registration based on custom field value

I require a custom field to be entered on registration.

Is there a way to set a list of values that if matched will result in the registration being rejected?

I use a custom field to block bot registrations.
Did you setup the options and general settings?
You can use a regular expression to validate or invalidate the text entered in the custom field as needed.
Example: If you want the text box to only match option1, option2 or option3 the regex would be /^(option1|option2|option3)$/i
The /* and the $/ means match exactly what is in the regex, the | means OR and the i means case insensitive. This would be case sensitive /^(option1|option2|option3)$/
This would be the NOT matching regex (case sensitive and case insensitive) /^(?!(option1|option2|option3)$).*$/ and /^(?!(option1|option2|option3)$).*$/i
