Not a bug Registration confirmation emails not sending - XF 1.5.14

Hey, so I have a 1.5.14 xenForo license installed on my website.

After setting up things, I announce to my player base that they can start making accounts on my website.

But then, reports of 'the confirmation emails haven't been sent' started to flood in. I've looked around but nothing I've found seems to have fixed my problem.
Here is the error I am getting-

Email to exampleuser@example.com failed: Unable to send mail.
7 minutes ago - library/Zend/Mail/Transport/Sendmail.php:137

Does anyone know how to fix this? If you do, it would mean a lot to me if you could help. I am fairly new to xenForo, so I don't know my way around too much yet.
