Is there a way to implement referral information? That is, to see through which page a certain user or IP address first discovered the forum. It would be extremely useful.

Within XenForo, no. The easiest would be to implement Google Analytics, it comes with referrer tracking.

Oh, apologies for asking in this thread, but:

I've entered the Analytics tracking code, but am not getting any results from Google. Where can I add the snippet that they provide?

I know this is an older thread, but there aren't many about this topic, so I'll just post here.

I would like this information as well. Maybe storing it as a custom user field that's only accessible to admins?

But it's a lot easier than plowing through Analytics, plus Analytics doesn't tell me which user is linked to what referrer value.

Also useful to help profile spammers.
