XF 1.5 Rate-limiting Xenforo mail

Although I can rate-limit max hourly emails on the domain to a reasonable number, it seems that Xenforo is sending all member emails simultaneously - possibly thru Sendmail, and not the server's SMTP? This generates tons of errors, and obviously doesn't look good in the spamming department.

Any advice appreciated – thanks.

Did you set it to the server's SMTP in admin.php > options > email

No, I didn't. Looking at admin.php, there is no email option...
