Not a bug Quoting a post more than 1 time on the same post generates double alert

I'm not sure if this is a bug or as designed but for example in this post: https://xenforo.com/community/threads/drag-drop.530/page-4#post-875248

As a test case I intentionally quoted Brogan's post two times on the same post... this produces two alerts for him for basically the same thing: "Super120 quoted you on..."

I believe that if I quote him 3 times then he will get 3 alerts and so...

Then it is not a XenForo bug.

I believe that the double alert on my forum was caused by the add-on Double Post Merge 1.1.2 after merging two consecutive posts of the same member who quoted me on both posts. I'm not sure if DPM is the problem but it is the first add-on that comes to my mind in this scenario...

In regards to Double Post Merge, it is "as designed" since the merging post containing a quote could be posted hours or even days (depending on ones settings) after the first post.
Probably best to discuss this on the add-on's resource thread.
