XF 2.2 Quote of quoted message

I want when the rest I quote a message that someone quoted someone in it as well, then in my message the two quotes will appear. Both of the one I quoted, and also the original quote.
Right now my default is that if I quote a post that has a quote, it is not quoting the quote but only the last post. How can I change it?

I'm quite surprised that it's not in the system's default settings [in other forum systems it exists].
The plugin you mentioned has a significant disadvantage, because it also sends an alert to the same one quoted within the quoted message, even though the alert did not come directly from what he wrote

I didn’t know that was possible without using multiquote and editing one into the other, is there a more user friendly way?

With Multi-Quote

1. Mark posts for multi-quote
2. Insert quotes
3. Switch editor to BB code mode
4. Rearange the quote sections so they are nested

Without Multi-Quote

1. Click Quote on the quoted post
2. Switch editor to BB code mode
3. Copy all editor content to clipboard
4. Click Quote on the quoting post
5. Insert clipboard content at desired position

Not exactly userfriendly (but doable, especially as nested quotes should be avoided whenever possible)

I am very happy that it is not a default. If it was it would be one of the first things I would learn how to disable.

Yes that’s what I presumed you had done and indeed not very user friendly at all.

Indeed it should not be a default without an obvious option to disable either globally or on a per use basis
