Hi, if someone quote me will the forums display a small icon or text and when I click that I get a list of quotes?

No, but you will be alerted when you're quoted.

Looks like it does pretty much same thing?
Does it show all quotes or just the new ones?

The balloon will appear when there's a new one. Once you've seen it, it'll go from the drop down in a few hours (admin configurable).

It'll be removed from the alert list in a dew days (admin configurable).

Just remember that alerts are not just for quotes.

They're also used for mentioning, watched topic replies, watched form new topics, and a load of other things.

There is a phpBB3 importer built in, but no portal in the core.

But can we use the Board3 portal as frontpage?
We have a gaming guild website wich we would like to keep the frontpage but could use some better forums as the guild is pretty big with many users and very active forums.

    Not on XenForo, no.
They are two different software applications with no integration between them.

You would in effect have two different sites.

Oh alright, but perhaps you have something similar wich we can use as a frontpage?

And how easy is the migration from phpbb to XenForo, is it pretty much 1-click to migrate the old posts, users and passwords?
I think it have been migrated one time before, not sure if the passwords was migrated though.

The import steps are in the screenshot here: Pre-Sales FAQ

There are a few add-ons which can serve as a home page, have a look in the resources.

Thank you, looks really easy to migrate to your software.

I'll let the officers of the guild talk about it first, and if they agree on moving to new software I will purchase a license.
