Query to list last post ID/useranme per thread.

Howdy on my forum we have some roleplay threads with 50 accounts+ posting in a 24 hour period, with 10 separate sub plots, often its a challenge to find where the last poster for a specific plotline..

is it possible to have a query which would display the data as such? basically i need a single record for each username and the latest post id number from the thread in question.

Username1|3434
Username2|4342

etc
